Hello, we are currently in the process of evaluating GitLab as a source
code repository for one of our solutions at MuleSoft. As part of the
evaluation process we need to address the feasibility of hooking our own
authentication and authorization service. From what I can see in the
documentation, it seems very possible to hook our own authentication
service what I couldn't find any reference to is on how to hook an
authorization service. We would like to manage permissions and resource
permissions on our own service rather than on GitLab itself and have GitLab
query that service. Is such a thing actually possible?

Regards,
Emiliano
