Your version will continue to work, but we have identified several security issues with it. The latest security patched version of 8.3 is 8.3.10 https://about.gitlab.com/2016/06/15/gitlab-8-dot-8-dot-5-released/
8.3 is still supported for now, and by supported I mean that we are still patching security issues with 8.3 when we find them.
