Hi Dan. AFAIK OAuth2 was introduced on GitLab 7.10 or some other version close to that one. If you are looking for that feature I think you should consider upgrading to a more recent version.

I tried looking for the Application area and was unable to find it. I am on Gitlab 7.3. Here is the profile screen:

I am unclear on how to add an application. Thanks...Dan.

    Hi Dan,

GitLab uses Devise and Omniauth, but can also be used as an OAuth2
    provider.

    Have a look here:

Probably. I am trying to find a way to authenticate with
single sign on from a web-based front end and am not having
much luck figuring out the Gitlab authentication. We are using
Gitlab 7.3 at the moment and I was not the installer. So far I
have not had any traction trying to do single sign on.

So, I thank you for your response and will check out Devise
for possible authentication solutions. If you have any other
information, I would be happy to hear it.

        I appreciate it...Dan.

I guess you're trying to find the authentication gem used
            in GitLab. It's called 'Devise'.
