Hi guys, i'm pretty new to gitlab and i have some noobish question concerning the omnibus-gitlab package.
I want to manage the gitlab installation and service with puppet. The installation and the setup with the gitlab.rb file doesn't really seem to be a problem, but there is one thing which i don't know how to handle: The installation of gitlab-omnibus doesn't create an init script to launch, stop or restart the services for gitlab. All gets managed by the gitlab-ctl as far as i understood. So which way might be the best to control the service with usage of puppet? Until now i only managed services which get controlled by an init script. It would be great if someone could give me an advice or a hint where i have to look to get gitlab under 'puppet-control'.
