@alamb i gave it a try and ended up with a different error but i think that
hints towards the metadata being wrong. This is the error
```
called `Result::unwrap()` on an `Err` value: External(ProtocolError { kind:
InvalidData, message: "cannot convert 0 into bool" })
```
which is coming from here:
