Summary of the bot benchmark runs above, since this is a perf change: - `wide_schema` wide queries (1024 columns × 256 files) are 3.1–5.1x faster (for example, Q02 goes from 903 ms to 178 ms). - The narrow queries (8 columns, same files) are the worst case for the extra spawn, and they stay within about 1 ms of main. - tpch, tpcds and clickbench_partitioned totals are within 1% of main. The three queries flagged slower are short ones that look like noise.
