- Add new crates to `update_datafusion_version` script, although it looks
like this script is not really needed now that most crate versions are in the
root `Cargo.toml` file
- Run script to update version number in Cargo.toml files
- Manually update version in workspace root
- Manually update version number in generated configs.md
- Ran `cargo update` in root and in `datafusion-cli`
- Ran `./dev/release/generate-changelog.py apache/datafusion 37.1.0 HEAD >
dev/changelog/38.0.0.md` and did the manual fix up of the generated file and
added link to main changelog file
