b4n left a comment (geany/geany#4525) I doubt this has anything directly to do with Geany: we don't use anything special for almost all icons, all this is GTK3's doing. And I'm not aware of icons changing colors depending on the background, you probably should have an icon set that work with the control colors (I'm not even sure there's *any* icons there, is there?).
Does this only affect Geany, or are other GTK3 apps concerned?
