Because of this I realized that there are two Geany-Plugins which depend on libsoup currently. Updatechecker is one of them. Unfortunately, just depending the package on libsoup3-devel instead of libsoup-devel does not solve the issue. Since there was no new release to libsoup since two years now [1], I suggest to give an eye on it to figure what needs to be done to migrate it to libsoup3.
