For the default version (2.2.14) with Fedora 7, once I tried deleting the .gimp directory and starting fresh. Nothing happened. After I installed 2.2.17, I did not try this action. However, after I deleted .gimp and started using gimp, the problem appears has been cured. I am watching it for the last four days. Any explanation? >What do you see if you run gimp from a terminal? Nothing in case of the upgraded version. I remember seeing something gimp lib- wire read error.
