Could you give more details about what you mean by "gimp will not load
them". For instance, does gimp display any error message (in a pop-up
window) ? If not, can you open in in a console (e.g. "xterm" on unices
or "command window" in windows). Do you see any error messages there ?
Also, can you try with a stable version of gimp, preferably the latest,
2.2.8 and does it work ?
