Hiya Dave,

Where do I get pre built binaries for Mandrake 10?? I wanted to check
up on the Gimp.org but it's been down for the last 3 days. I run
Mozilla here on Windows XP and Mandrake 10 and both sides are not
letting me in. Also tried out IE and Konquorer, same thing. Sites down
so I can't check up on anything and no one is giving me any feed back on
the status of the site so far! :-( Wrote Sven and asked and wrote the
WinGIMP Yahoo group and asked, nada!!! :-(

So if you know where I can obtain a prebuilt binary and if you know what
all I will have to install along with it then please link me up.

Many thanks

Richard ;-)~

: Ouch... It might have been easier to download bre-built binaries. I'm
: assuming that you're talking about having downloaded these from Tor's
: site - in which case, there's an installer linked from that page. This
: might have been an easier path to take. In any case, good luck :)

: If these are prebuilt binaries, then the order doesn't matter, you
jkust
: need to install all of them. However, if you're starting from source,
: then there are a few groups
:
: Group 1: external libs, depend on nothing:

: Group 2: Should be installed in order. This gets you all you need to
: build the GIMP.
: freetype2
: fontconfig
: glib
: atk

: Group 3: Optional libraries for the GIMP (for printing and a help

: gimp-freetype
: gimp-perl
: refocus

: Check freedesktop.org. Look for fontconfig.

:
: Try tar, sometimes browsers "helpfully" uncompress .tgz files during
the
: download, and add a .tar extension at the end of the uncompressed
file.
