The batch work is not the problem. I need to interactively set those
control/selection rectangles which are then used elsewhere (pbmplus,
image magick).
I could solve this two ways: by writing a script or a plug-in in Gimp.
I have checked the Gimp manuals but I don't remember seeing anything
about script/plug-in writing.
Unfortunately I don't have Linux running now; maybe later when I have
enough scannings to process for. But I'm able to research these issues
at meanwhile. A help would be appreciated (for example, answers to the
questions in my previous mail on this topic) --- a help would make
this go on faster.
