thanks for the invitation, but I'm still not convinced at all that this is something
in any way related to the GGI project at all. A gtk port to GGI is certainly a
very interesting and useful project, yet I'm afraid that more extensions to GGI only
water down GGI's very goals.
Why can't that be a project in its own right that is based on GGI ? You wouldn't
propose
that I convert berlin into a GGI extension, would you ?

PS: I understand that it is advantageous to have an 'intrinsic' region management
library, that could eventually use h/w acceleration for picking and intersection
tests. Have a look at libgwt or libwmh for that.
