We are excited to announce that the application cycle for our M.A. and Ph.D. programs in Ecology, Spirituality, and Religion at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) is now open for both Spring and Fall 2025! You can begin your application here today! · Spring 2025 Deadline: November 15, 2024 · Fall 2025 Deadline: April 15, 2025 Our M.A. program is designed to empower students to explore the contributions of religions, spiritualities and philosophies to our planetary socio-ecological crisis. Our transdisciplinary program equips students with the skills and knowledge to imagine, create, and transform practices, worldviews and lifeways in service of a just and flourishing human and more-than-human future. Our Ph.D. program trains students to navigate across disciplinary boundaries to articulate academically rigorous, culturally informed, and ethical solutions for a more just, sustainable, and flourishing future. Students in this program advance scholarly inquiry in the environmental humanities by developing expertise in ecological topics, as well as in religious, spiritual, and/or philosophical traditions, to produce original scholarship in the field.
