Dear colleagues, We are excited to invite you to the fourth session of the *Virtual Roundtable Series of the Earth System Governance Taskforce on the SDGs*, in which discussions led by each of the different working groups (WGs) explore insights from current research and practice, as well as future trajectories. The series explores the questions of where and how incremental change is taking place, and under what conditions these developments generate and accelerate the ongoing sustainability transformation up to 2030 and beyond. In particular, we look into *promises and pitfalls of SDG implementation* and identify enabling and constraining factors for bolstering SDG action.
This session specifically *explores private sector implementation of the SDGs*, including efforts and initiatives to mainstream the SDGs into organisational reporting, project development, consulting, strategy, finance and corporate governance processes and their impacts at organisational, industry and global levels. Through this session we hope to support a dialogue between research and practice to unpack private sector SDG implementation experiences and explore critical factors for successful initiatives as well as barriers and critiques. After the short interventions, *all participants of the virtual roundtable are invited to ask questions*, comment on the short interventions, and share their own experiences and views regarding the challenges of SDG implementation. The fourth session of the Virtual Roundtable Series on *Private Sector Initiatives for the SDGs* will take place online on *Friday, December 15th from 15:00-16:00 (CEST), 14:00-15:00 (GMT).* *REGISTRATION LINK* <https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.eventbrite.co.uk%2Fe%2Fwebinar-on-private-governance-for-the-sdgs-esg-sdg-taskforce-tickets-767531275707%3F&data=05%7C01%7Cys2327%40bath.ac.uk%7C48b9ba4f11e34022064308dbf0d70471%7C377e3d224ea1422db0ad8fcc89406b9e%7C0%7C0%7C638368578516509855%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=VwvNX8qyeC7rj1wDCKtJlHNw2fgbM5qTBfZKpidm03k%3D&reserved=0> *Panelists**:* - *Amy King*, Chief Sustainability Officer at Paragon Impact, Jersey - *Jo Appleby*, Head of Sustainable Innovation at Impact International, UK - Tbc *Chairs:* - *Joanna Stanberry*, Doctoral candidate, University of Cumbria, UK - *Fred Dahlmann*, Associate Professor, University of Warwick, UK We look forward to seeing you there!
