Dear colleagues,

We are pleased so share this call for papers (attached) for a workshop at 
Leiden University (the Netherlands) that might be of interest to some of you. 
The workshop is titled "Frontlines of protection: Thinking and defining 
protection against disasters in times of environmental disruptions" and will 
take place on 21-22 March 2024.

We're interested in papers coming from any discipline addressing the following 
topics:

  1.  Genealogies of protection
  2.  Objects and non-objects of protection
  3.  Operationalising, translating and implementing protection
  4.  Protecting beyond the emergency

Please send your abstract to protection.works...@fgga.leidenuniv.nl before 
Monday 4 December 2023.
