For those who had it in mind but perhaps kept it for later - this is a
final reminder of the *upcoming deadline for abstracts, February 25*, for
the IASC <http://www.iasc-commons.org> thematic workshop “*Conceptualizing
the New Commons - the examples of Knowledge Commons & Seed and Variety
Commons” on June 6-8, 2018*.

Some topics to be covered during the Workshop are:

   - Theoretical advancements of Seed and Variety Commons and New Commons
   - Perspectives from the Global South and Global North on New Commons
   - Polycentric governance of Global Knowledge Commons and
   biodiversity/plant genetic resources
   - Global Commons character of Knowledge Commons and Seed & Variety
   Commons
   - New Commons as means for personal well-being and re-democratization
   - New Commons as means for social-ecological transformation


The organizing team has just informed that they already received
interesting contributions, and we are expecting it to be a fruitful
interdisciplinary exchange!

The workshop, organized by the Right Seeds Research Group (led by Prof.
Stefanie Sievers-Glotzbach) in cooperation with the IASC, will take place
in Oldenburg, Germany (close to the City of Bremen).
RightSeeds is a collaborative research project by the Department of
Economics at the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, the Institute for
Ecological Economy Research (IÖW) and the Agroecology Group at
Georg-August-University Göttingen.
