As some of you already know, registration is now open for the Association of Environmental Studies and Sciences (AESS) annual meeting, which will take place this year from June 24-27 on the beautiful campus of UC-San Diego. I want to encourage everyone to attend what we hope will be our largest meeting yet, providing a forum for the best of interdisciplinary scholarship (including many panels with global environmental perspectives), ample opportunities for networking, and, perhaps most importantly, an excuse to hang with old friends and make some new ones. This year's meeting with also include a luncheon sponsored by ISA's ESS for young scholars, which will include a presentation by John-O. Niles of UC-San Diego on emerging carbon markets.
Early bird registration has been extended, but if you're like me, best to register now before you forget!: https://www.regonline.com/register/checkin.aspx?EventId=1672552 <https://www.regonline.com/register/checkin.aspx?EventId=1672552&MethodId=0& EventSessionId=&startnewreg=1> &MethodId=0&EventSessionId=&startnewreg=1 Might I also ask everyone a favor? When you register, there's an option on the confirmation page for you to use social media e.g. Facebook, Twitter and Linked-In to publicize the conference. Please consider doing so to facilitate letting all of our colleagues know about the meeting; this is, always, a team effort. Thanks, hope to see you in San Diego! wil Dr. Wil Burns, President, AESS Co-Executive Director, Forum for Climate Engineering Assessment A Scholarly Initiative of the School of International Service, American University 2650 Haste Street, Towle Hall #G07 Berkeley, CA 94720 650.281.9126 (Phone) http://www.dcgeoconsortium.org <http://www.dcgeoconsortium.org/> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "gep-ed" group.
