This workshop is intended for graduate students and young professional desiring an opportunity prepare articles and have manuscripts reviewed as they would for submission the Journal for Environmental Studies and Sciences or other professional publication. How the workshop will be organized: Each prospective participant will be asked to submit a draft manuscript several weeks in advance of the workshop. The manuscripts will be reviewed by the workshop organizers and those submissions in satisfactory preparation will each be read by the workshop organizers and at least two other workshop participants. The organizers will divide the manuscripts among the participants, so that each participant will have no more than two articles to review. Before the session, the participants will be divided into small groups, each consisting of 2-4 workshop participants and a Journal editor or otherwise qualified reviewer. Each small group participant's submission will be read by the other group members in advance of the meeting. The workshop will consist of several activities: A brief explanation of the review process and the kinds of papers the Journal is looking for; A division into the working groups were the manuscripts will be reviewed and discussed among the members; A final collective meeting to discuss issues and ideas from the review sessions.
