Hi Gepers,
I read somewhere that climate change may affect precipitation patterns by creating rain "silos" that concentrate downpours in circumscribed areas, but leave nearby areas dry. I believe this is especially true in monsoon regions.
Is this true? Can anyone confirm this and provide reference(s) for such an effect? Does this effect have a name?
