Postdoctoral Fellow in Environmental Science and Policy
 
The Environmental Science and Policy Program at Smith College invites 
applications for a two-year appointment as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 
Environmental Science and Policy, to begin July 1, 2011.  We seek a candidate 
with an integrative environmental degree, or someone with a degree in a 
traditional field who has extensive experience in environmental science or 
policy, to participate in a new major in Environmental Science and Policy.  The 
successful candidate must have strong quantitative skills and will develop and 
teach two required courses for the major in each year. The fellow will have 
opportunities to engage undergraduate students in research and to advance their 
own scholarship. Research and travel funds are available, and a faculty mentor 
will assist the fellow in course and professional development.

interdisciplinary program in Environmental Science and Policy, exceptional 
resources include: the new Center for the Environment, Ecological Design, and

the MacLeish Field Station; Architecture and Landscape Studies studios, and the 
Five College Consortium, comprised of Smith, Amherst, Mount Holyoke, and 
Hampshire Colleges and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
