Subject: [gep-ed] Uranium mining in Central African Republic

Dear all

I know this might be a bit off topic but I met today a civil society
representative from the Central African Republic who is fighting to have
health and human rights issues associated with uranium mining in that
country taken seriously. I have promised to forward any information,
ideas, contacts to him. Given that uranium mining also has environmental
consequences, I wonder if anyone on the list is working on this or knows
someone who is.

Many thanks.
Lorraine
