Rendering labels has now two modes, STRING, which uses g2d.renderGlyphVector,
and OUTLINE, that extracts the outline shape from the glyph vector and then
fills it. The latter provides much better results for diagonal labels and
better centering between label and halo, the former is faster and provides
better horizontal labels.
Add an ADAPTIVE mode that behaves like STRING for horizontal labels and as
OUTLINE for all others
