I've realized that I'm unclear about the distinction between feature attributes and feature properties.
In the context of DataStore etc. the docs refer to attributes. In the context of filters, SLD etc properties and property names are mentioned. Are these terms synonymous some or all of the time or are there (as I suspect) differences that should be explained in the docs ? The main thing I've learned from editing the javadocs so far is how little I know about GeoTools.
