Several users have noticed issues when rendering some particular GeoTIFF via
GeoServer WMS.
Simone have investigated the problem and he have found a bug in the SUN's
JAI-ImageIO toolkit.
Then he have provided a patch to fix the issues. A long time is usually
requested before the patch would be put in an official JAI-ImageIO toolkit
release.
For the moment, we have provided an improved TIFF plugin (with different
packages names to avoid conflicts with SUN's packages) containing the FIX.
It is available as an ImageIO-Ext plugin and it should be used as dependency
for the Geotools GeoTiff plugin in order to Fix the issues.
Simone may provide specifical details on the BUG.
