The ArcSDE plugin has been demoted to "community module" status, in other terms, it's unsupported. This is in recognition of a few factors:
- The module does not have a maintainer - No core developer has access to an ArcSDE installation - No one has made significant changes in the module in a long time Connectors to proprietary data sources like SDE are kept alive by support contracts, but this particular store has gather no interest on that front. It also means it could be returned to supported status if the context changed, e.g., new active business around it, and access to an installation to run tests with.
