My first guess would be than an all incompatibility snuck in between 2.16.0 and the snapshot you are using. Versions must be identical. If you can't find the proper download you need to build the extension yourself by checking out the 2.16.0 tag and build the extension from that. Snapshots are moving target builds, geoserver doesn't follow mavens convention for snapshot numbering so 2.16-snapshot could be anything from a little after 2.15.x to 2.16.almost6 depending when you look at the code - M > >
