Hi list.

I've just tried to move an SLD, that worked fine as version 1.0 on Geoserver
2.10 to a newer version.

I converted the SLD version 1.0 to version 1.1, and had XMLSpy verify, that the
new SLD 1.1 content was valid.

But neither Geoserver 2.14 nor Geoserver 2.16 will accept it.

The error message is highly cryptic:

sld java.lang.RuntimeException: Parsing failed for Graphic:
java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.String cannot be cast to
org.opengis.filter.expression.Expression

Can anyone shed any light on this rather odd behavior ?

Ps! The SLD encoding is not UTF-8, but ISO-8859-1, but that ought not be a
problem, or ?
