Dear Geoserver Community,

I am using Geoserver 2.15.2 in a Docker-Compose. I have around 70.000 old
aerial_images in .tif format, which i
would like to mount via Cifs to the Geoserver-Container. This works fine and
publishing is also not an issue.
But after each restart (docker-compose down && docker-compose up), Geoserver
creates temporarily copies of each image.tif file with a random
extension file e.g image.tifadbefde or image. tifdfesfg in a row before
startup. After this procedure Geoserver starts up fine.
So each restart takes way to long, for development.

Somebody can confirm this behavior, is this an issue or expected (as kind of
registry ) ?

Best regards,
Thomas Doejen
