Hi, if you are looking into it, I'd check both the MVT code in GeoServer, which is mostly generic and shared among MVT, TopoJSON and GeoJSON tiles (had a quick look, cannot see splitting of multipolygon over multiple features) and the actual MVT encoder, which is an external library:
