When you clone a git repository you get everything, full history, all
branches,
I believe all tags too but I might be wrong. Your current checkout contains
the latest though

If that does not work it probably means the tags were not cloned,
do first a "git fetch -t origin" and then try again.

Mind, building on Windows is not really supported, some tests will fail (we
don't have
active core developers using windows, people willing to support a working
build in that environment
are nowhere to be found is seems, if anyone reading is interested please
give us a shout!).
You can do a "mvn clean install -DskipTests" if all you want is just to
build
the code without running the tests.
