Please downgrade or remove this post since it was me being silly by not
realising that Geoserver transfers the security folder to the Geoserver_data
store (which I assumed just had my raster/vector data). I’d put this on a
different drive so the files didn't come up on a search of the C-drive.
Since all subsequent Geoserver installations referred to this folder for
security settings I was confounded. Live and learn!
