Hi all,

I have a bunch of hillshades from different year. Typically they do not
overlap. For each year, I have configured a seperate ImageMosaic store. The
images are tiled tifs, greyscale 8 bit with alpha channel. I am using
default raster sld style. The alpha channel is there to make it possible to
group different years into layergroups, and to make it possible to show a
background map on areas where there is no hillshades.

ImageMosaic creation works good, here is an example picture:

Here, the grayscale values are as intended.

When I create a layergroup, or combine one of the hillshade layers with one
another, or any other layer (even the layer itself), the image is
significantly brighter:

Environment: GS 2.6.1, racle Corporation: 1.7.0_25 (Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit
Server VM), Native JAI true, tomcat6.

Does anybody have an explanation/solution to my problem?

Best regards,

Jakob Ventin
