Hi,

I have deployed GeoServer 2.3.1, 2.4.4, 2.4.8, 2.5.2 into the same tomcat
server. We named them:
/geoserver (2.5.2 as a default)
/geoserver.2.3.1 (for existing deployed server testing)
/geoserver.2.4.4 (for existing deployed server testing)
/geoserver.2.4.8 (for existing deployed server testing)

An issue with this is using an environment variable for the geoserver data dir
will force all configured endpoints to use the same directory which can cause
problems with the configuration files. Since the format of the configuration
can change between versions, you have to allow the default data dir
recognition, or setup the web.xml to define the geoserver data dir.

Otherwise, it has worked well for us to test the various deployed GeoServer
instances we support.

Subject: [Geoserver-users] double geoserver deploy

Hello,

I have a simple question:

Does it possible to deploy 2 geoserver (with different name) in the same
application server?
Does it produce errors, crashes or malfunctioning??

Thanks a lot in advance.

Eugenio
