Did you have any progress on this issue?

I'm experimenting the same problem. I'm on Ubuntu 14.04, GeoServer
2.5.1, Java: Oracle Corporation: 1.7.0_55 (OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM) y
apache tomcat 8.0.9.
