Sorry, I didn't think to put versions in. I'm currently using 0.97, the latest "stable" ebuild on x86. However, the link you pointed me to seems to say if I go up to 4.13, I shouldn't have that problem. Portage, conveniently, has "unstable" builds for 4.13. I'll give it a go and report back.
