Personally, I'd just go ahead and do the DBAN route as already mentioned. It's worth it - and easy enough to do. (I've done it for one of my work laptops that I purchased from work a couple years ago.) On the other hand, if you really don't want to do that - keep your hard drive, and sell without the hard drive. The buyer can get another one for it themselves. Ben
