Apparently not. The conflict lies in the ati drivers and you will have to wait for ATI to support xorg-1.7 before upgrading. There's a bug on b.g.o. which I read last night that has more info. Search for xorg-server, it's near the end of the list (clearly marked) -- alan dot mckinnon at gmail dot com
