Thanks to those who offered help . . . I got mythtv going by using a different version of mesa. While it was suggested that I use an older version, I ended up using a newer one. I went from media-libs/mesa-7.3-r1 to media-libs/mesa-7.5-r3. Now I just need to configure mythtv! > >
