Thanks for the reply, I didn't find xorg 1.5.3 unstable, I use every day with kde 3.5.10 or gnome. I had the mouse and keyboard problem too, but I resolved commenting out the entry in my xorg config file and switching to udev for keyboard and mouse configuration. I will try compiling switching back to 1.5.2 to see if something changes. Thanks again Nicola
