Yes, that would have been helpful. The message in fact was very helpful in showing me how to fix the problem, and I am thankful that the effort was taken as Gentoo is still a little new to me (I come from Debian/RedHat land mostly). I'm not against the warning, as the subject of this thread states, it just came a little late. :) I like Gentoo, but I find it in the wrong in this particular case. Cheers, Mike -- Michael P.
