hehehe, well spotted :-) Superficially similar, but very different in implementation. Portage tells you about stuff that could be improved, it can be disabled by those who don't know what to do about it and the user has the choice. UAC just gets in your face like an annoying fruit fly buzzing round your nose and won't go away.
