Hi all, I just built myself a brand new AMD64 system with an EVGA Geforce 9600GT. This vid card requires a newer version of nvidia drivers (171.06) than is available from portage, so I will have to install it manually.
I am wondering if there are any gotchas I should keep in mind before installing it, as in, do I need to unmerge the current unsupported drivers? Should I use package provided? Will 'eselect opengl set nvidia' still work?
