Hi, I have two tiny problems in using portage.
- How can I get a list of all packages for which there is a newer version. emerge --update world doesn't work since it doesn't respect my ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" setting, i.e. it doesn't show new packages if they are "masked" by the "~x86" keyword. - Whenever I install a new kernel I have to reinstall all those packages which generate a kernel module, e.g. nvidia-drivers, openafs-kernel or virtualbox-modules. When emerge has installed the kernel module in /lib/modules/<new-kernel>/... it removes the corresponding module in /lib/modules/<old-kernel> Since I want a fall back possibility I'd like to tell emerge not to remove the modules for the <old-kernel>. How can this be done? Many thanks for a hint, Helmut Jarausch Lehrstuhl fuer Numerische Mathematik RWTH - Aachen University D 52056 Aachen, Germany -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list
