Hi Helmut, I don't have the latest kernel or gcc-4.2.2 but I get that error every time I recompile nvidia-drivers.
Try running: # FEATURES="-sandbox" emerge nvidia-drivers That will bypass the sandbox which is what's causing you problems there.
