Hi Thierry,

Try switching on the AP name broadcast on the rooter so that your card reports 
it.  Then run iwconfig and set up the ESSID name that the AP broadcasts.  
This may be required because some less developed wireless adaptor drivers 
need an ESSID name to be able to get an IP address - it has happened to me 
with rt2500.
