Most of Iain's caveats apply here too, but judging from Knoppix you need to pass some boot options to the kernel to let it know where your config files are saved . . . assuming of course that Ubuntu on a LiveCD/USB has this level of sophistication. Hope this helps. -- Regards, Mick
