Hi all, I screwed up my openssl installation. Since then, I have to keep links in /usr/lib that will link libssl.so.0.9.8 -> libssl.so.0.9.7 and similar for libcrypto. upgrades/downgrades/leftgrades and even rightgrades didn't work. Currently when I try to install anything that might use openssl I get (for example openldap) configure: error: Could not locate TLS/SSL package !!! Please attach the following file when filing a report to bugs.gentoo.org: !!! /var/tmp/portage/net-nds/openldap-2.3.30-r2/work/openldap-2.3.30/config.log In the log file typically I get: configure:19463: cc -c -O2 -march=pentium3 -pipe conftest.c >&5 conftest.c:128:25: error: openssl/ssl.h: No such file or directory configure:19469: $? = 1 configure: failed program was:
Another example is from postgres installation: configure:6967: result: no configure:6977: error: library 'crypto' is required for OpenSSL Any idea? -- Regards.
