Because a 'better' color scheme is a subjective thing. You aren't going to satisfy everyone and as Neil pointed out you can already define your own color scheme. Since a change of default color scheme still wouldn't leave everyone happy the status quo will be preferred just because everytime something changes someone complains (yep, I can back that up if desired with quite a few bug reports)... -- Bo Andresen
